Interactives · Grade 7 Biology · Game

Design a bacterium. Race it for biomass.

Kolonia is a game for Bulgarian Grade 7 Biology. You build a single-celled organism: choose its shape and colour, install parts such as a cell wall, a flagellum or photosynthetic membranes. Then you drop it into a lake, a desert crust or the human gut and watch five minutes of growth and survival play out. Every part has a price in atoms and energy, so the best design is a trade-off, not a pile of upgrades.

Your own sign-up
Kolonia has its own sign-up with an ID and a PIN. It does not use a Tot Academy account. The only text a student types is a name for the bacterium; no email addresses or real names are collected.
Best on a phone
The game opens full screen and is built for phones first. It works on a laptop too.
Language
The game itself is in Bulgarian, as it follows the Bulgarian Grade 7 Biology curriculum.

From the people who made these

The tools show you where the marks go. A tutor helps you get them back.

Tot Academy tutors ESAT and university admissions tests, IB, MYP, IGCSE and the Bulgarian curriculum — in Sofia and online. A trial lesson is an hour, and tells us both more than any form.
